Lufthansa Group: Re-inventing the F-Course!

The F-Course, a program with significant legacy at Lufthansa Group and part of the leadership development landscape, was revamped in collaboration with ESMT Berlin to empower leaders at board -2/-3 level to shape the future in an ever-changing environment. This initiative fosters a mindset of ownership and proactive change, integrating innovative methodologies like art thinking to challenge conventional norms and inspire creativity. Participants benefit from experiential learning from various professions, practical experiments, and collaborative support through a help workout format. Focusing on sustainability, digital innovation, and agile leadership, the program equips leaders with the mindset and tools needed to drive meaningful change for Lufthansa Group, enhancing its strategic direction and reflecting its vision of “shaping aviation loved by generations to come”. The F-Course program significantly empowered leaders, with post-program feedback showing an energized, confident group; 89% felt it sparked new ideas, and 95% saw new skills developed. Five months post-completion, a follow-up showed that participants were applying their learnings, with most reporting improved practices and behaviors that led to business impacts like better operational efficiency and AI use case development. Commendations from board members and participants affirm the F-Course's transformative impact in driving proactive, collaborative change across the company.
